Terms and Conditions

Effective date: September 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Maxxmod browser extension. Maxxmod is developed and operated by Pablo Massa under the Neon Glow brand. If you have a question about these terms, use the contact form on the Neon Glow website.

What Maxxmod does

Maxxmod lets you customize parts of the YouTube desktop interface and adds optional controls and features. It works alongside YouTube in your browser. Features may depend on YouTube, Chrome, and other software that we do not control, so their appearance or availability may change.

Maxxmod is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube. Your use of YouTube remains subject to YouTube’s own terms and policies.

Using the extension

You may install and use the current free version of Maxxmod for lawful purposes in accordance with these terms. You remain responsible for how you use the extension and for complying with applicable laws and the rules of services you access through it.

Do not use Maxxmod to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with us, interfere with the extension’s operation for others, or infringe another person’s rights. You may not distribute a modified version in a way that suggests it is an official Maxxmod release or that we endorse it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law.

Ownership and brand

Maxxmod’s name, logo, interface designs, text, graphics, and original software belong to Pablo Massa or their respective licensors. Installing the extension gives you permission to use it as described here; it does not transfer ownership or grant permission to use the Maxxmod or Neon Glow names or logos to suggest sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement. If you want to use our branding for another purpose, ask us first.

YouTube videos, captions, names, logos, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Maxxmod does not claim ownership of that material.

Screenshots and other user actions

Some Maxxmod features let you capture a video frame, copy an image to your clipboard, or save it to your device. These actions happen only when you choose to use the feature. You are responsible for using the resulting material in a way that respects copyright, other people’s rights, and the rules of the service that supplied it. Maxxmod does not grant you rights to third-party content.

Privacy

The Maxxmod extension works locally in your browser. It does not require a Maxxmod account and does not contain Maxxmod analytics, advertising trackers, or code that sends your YouTube activity, screenshots, or locally saved settings to us or to third-party analytics or advertising services. Your feature choices and interface preferences are stored in your local Chrome extension storage.

Google may provide us with aggregate, non-user-level statistics about the Maxxmod Chrome Web Store listing, such as installations and ratings. Those statistics are collected and provided by the Chrome Web Store under Google’s own policies, not by Maxxmod code in the extension. Our Privacy Policy explains the extension’s data practices in more detail.

Maxxmod Pro and the waitlist

Maxxmod Pro is planned but is not part of the current free version. Joining a waitlist is an expression of interest; it is not a purchase, a reservation, or a guarantee that Pro will launch or that you will receive access. If paid features become available, we will present their price and applicable purchase, cancellation, and refund terms before any purchase.

Updates and availability

We may update Maxxmod to improve it, fix issues, or adapt to changes in YouTube or browsers. We may also change or discontinue features. We will describe material changes that affect users through the extension, our website, or the Chrome Web Store listing as appropriate. If you do not wish to use an updated version, you may stop using and uninstall the extension.

We aim to make Maxxmod work as described, but cannot promise that every feature will always work with every version of YouTube or every browser environment. This does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services and links

The extension may include links to YouTube, Maxxmod websites, or websites operated by others. Maxxmod does not contact those websites merely because the extension is installed; your browser connects to a linked website when you choose to open it. That website may then process information under its own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the operation or content of third-party services. This does not affect responsibilities imposed on us by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when the extension or our practices change. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and give additional notice when required by law. Changes will apply prospectively. Your continued use after the updated terms take effect indicates your acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
